Sweetheart Highbush Blueberry ( Vaccinium corymbosum ) is a unique and productive variety known for its early harvest and exceptional sweetness. It produces two crops per year in warmer climates—one in spring and another smaller crop in late summer. The medium to large berries are firm, flavorful, and perfect for fresh eating or baking. A cold-hardy, self-pollinating plant that yields even more when paired with another variety for cross-pollination. Maturing in the 5 to 6 foot height range with a spread of 3 to 4 feet wide, the Sweetheart Blueberry bushes make excellent hedges. Grows best in full sun and well-drained, acidic soil.
